DuBois Aviation is accepting applications from helicopter flight instructors who are eligible to provide training in the Robinson R22.
DuBois Aviation operates a diverse training fleet at Chino Airport. Recent full-time instructors have commonly gained approximately 800 to 1,200 hours in a year, although actual flight time varies with student demand, availability, weather, and instructor scheduling.
What you will do
- Provide structured helicopter flight and ground instruction.
- Prepare students for stage checks, knowledge tests, practical tests, and safe solo flight.
- Maintain accurate training records, endorsements, briefings, and student progress notes.
- Coordinate professionally with dispatch, maintenance, and other instructors.
Minimum qualifications
- FAA helicopter flight instructor certificate appropriate to the instruction you provide.
- Completion of the experience and endorsement requirements to instruct in an R22 under SFAR 73.
- Professional communication, dependable availability, and a safety-first approach.
- Ability to commute to Chino Airport for scheduled flight and ground instruction.
Preferred experience
- Instrument helicopter instructor privileges.
- Experience teaching primary and advanced helicopter students.
- Availability for a consistent student schedule.
