We are required to maintain a record of students birth certificate or passport of any student who receives flight training as well as an ID. For minors a student ID should be acceptable.
Acknowledgement of Personal Responsibility
I hereby accept full responsibility for, and assume the risk of any injuries sustained because of, my child's participation in the Aviation Camp: release and hold harmless Du Bois Aviation Inc., and their respective officers, directors and shareholders, and all their personnel in association with this camp for any liabilities, injuries, and expenses which may arise as a result of participation in this aviation camp. I know of no medical reason why my child should not participate in this camp. I further declare that my child poses no threat to themselves, other students or instructors and staff, due to any physical limitations or medical conditions.

Photo / Video Release
Please be advised that your child may be photographed at various times during the camp. Some photos may be taken by our staff or other parents and your child in the photo or video. We are providing videos to parents of their students flight, because these videos are raw unedited, another student may briefly appear in the video. Your child's pictures may be used for either the website, social media, or other promotions.
Clear Signature
Select the dates you would prefer, if unavailable we will call you to notify you of the other available options. Only 10 Students Capacity per Session.
-Returning Students will not receive a new text book or pilots log book. Because of this we offer a discount for returning students.

Summer Camp Outline

  • Each day students will complete 1 hours of ground school training.
  • Students will fly a real plane with our instructor daily. 
  • Students will get more freedom to refine their skills in our simulator.
  • Field Trip to one of our Museum’s at Chino Airport.
  • Graduation and Pizza Party on final course dates.
  • GoPro Videos of students will be provided. 

Ground School

  • Introduction to airplanes
  • Forces acting on an airplane in flight
  • Airplane control surfaces and how they control the aircraft
  • Learning the phonetic alphabet
  • Learn to read Aviation Charts 
  • Airport Signs and Markings 
  • What makes an airplane fly
  • Aircraft systems
  • Radio communications
  • Preflight of the airplane
  • Basics of airspace
  • Traffic patterns
  • Pilots log book and how to log your flights
  • Requirements to become a pilot

In Flight Training

  • Get behind the controls on your first class and every camp day! Weather Permitting.
  • One on one flying time with a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
  • Perform touch and go landings
  • Listen and speak to the control tower while in flight
  • Enter the traffic pattern at Chino airport
  • Flight each day for every student (4 flights total)
  • Seat cushions available for best visibility 
  • Headset rentals will be provided for each student. Personal headsets can be purchased also
  • Log flight instruction which can be used towards your pilots license requirements

Provided Materials

  • 1 Toy airplane per student, used in teaching ground school lesson
  • 1 Pilots log book for new students
  • T-Shirt (Pilot in Progress)
  • All worksheets will be provided
  • Small Snack and water bottle each day
  • Digital unedited Gopro video of students flight

Details

  • Multiple Class dates available (Choose one of the following)
  • Session 1: Monday 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24 8AM to 1PM
  • Session 2: Sundays 6/9, 6/16, 6/23, 6/30 8AM to 1PM
  • Session 3: Sundays 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28 8PM to 1PM
  • Session 4: Mondays 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29 8PM to 1PM
  • Parents must sign liability waver
  • Students should bring their own lunch. Small snacks and water will be provided.
  • Air conditioned class room
  • Students should wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes
  • Yes students will get to fly the airplane ( with a little help from our instructor)
  • $749 per student    $50 discount for previous camp students or flyers club students
